Extra tickets – Hollywood Bowl

First, a reminder for South America (not that I expect it’s needed): tickets are now on sale for David’s December visit to Curitiba and Porto Alegre. I hope you’ve been lucky.

Tickets for Santiago will be on sale from 11am (CLT) and for São Paulo, of course, from 10pm (BRT). Good luck to you in obtaining some of those.

We will keep you updated on any further changes for Buenos Aires tickets, still scheduled to go on sale next Thursday at 00.01am (ART).

Now, good news for anyone still hoping to make it to Los Angeles next year: some tickets for both Hollywood Bowl dates will go on sale this Saturday at 10am (PST), available, as ever, from Ticketmaster.com.

That’s the Hollywood Bowl (2301 North Highland Avenue, Hollywood, Los Angeles, CA 90068) on Thursday 24th March 2016 and Friday 25th March 2016. If you’ll try for tickets, the very best of luck to you, too.

Don’t forget to tune in to BBC Radio 4’s Front Row this evening – from 7.15pm (UK). If you missed David on BBC Radio 2 on Tuesday, you can listen again. As well as the title track from the new album, David introduced the lovely ‘A Boat Lies Waiting’. You’ll want to jump to the 01:03:50 mark for ‘Rattle That Lock’.

The album Rattle That Lock is Radio 2’s Album of the Week, so expect to hear more from it from now on.

  1. Not sure if this has already been posted, but I just stumbled on a rather excellent exclusive interview with David over at Amazon. He shares some rather personal insights into RTL, and even mentions he’s going to continue touring next year after North America.

    1. Great find George! Perhaps there will be room for one more night in New York at either Radio City Music Hall or the Beacon Theater (not that I’m being greedy or anything). 😉

    2. Thanks for that George, I enjoyed that interview. I’m enjoying learning a bit about all the technical stuff that goes on in the background. How a song is ‘constructed’, with many elements brought together, then finishing touches to complete the whole. 🙂

Oh, and it’s absolutely thrilling to know David is planning to continue touring after the American leg! 😀 Got another big grin on my face now, will start saving for tickets and all that now. F*ck Christmas. 😀

      1. Ditto Ash, very good interview and the final question put a huge grin on my face. Looks like the summer of 2016 will be a good one too.

    1. Well done, Daniel. You’ll have a perfect view from there. I hope you enjoy it. Let us know, won’t you?

  2. Terrific new promo live video. The quality is excellent. I’d be very happy buying a DVD featuring concert footage this good. 🙂

  3. Ah yes, and NYC is still showing only two dates, no extra tickets and anxious fans waiting a tidbit of news…..

    Rattling again!

  4. How good is that live snippet of “Today” I think from rehearsal? What a band. Can hardly wait to see them in Toronto.

  5. I can safely view comments here without any mentions of setlist and just in case I have my hand over the comments.

I’m going to be tired just driving down to Gatwick tomorrow afternoon so I really can’t imagine how David’s going to be travelling the globe. We’re so excited about our trip to Verona, going to be very special. I remember the ’94 Pink Floyd tour and the band were all taking the Ging Seng, or Sing Bing, that energy thang, LOL. So I genuinely say, be safe to everyone involved and take it easy out there.

    Kindest regard as always

P.S Housesteads up on Hadrian’s Wall, what a venue for a gig though I doubt it would be allowed.

    1. My tickets for 25th at RAH came yesterday, I thought the others for other nights would come today. . . they didn’t!

I rang the box office and they have a recorded message saying that if we’re enquiring about David Gilmour tickets then rest assured they are being sent out. 😀

They must have had a lot of calls from us to record a message just for us!

    2. That’s great news Lorraine.

Hopefully, mine should then be on the doorstep when I return from the Grampians.

  6. For all Italian fans who want to celebrate Wish You Were Here’s 40th anniversary, a little (well, not so little) article I wrote telling all the story about the album, from his embryo to the release, including all curiosity and hidden secrets:

“Wish you were here” dei Pink Floyd compie 40 anni

Other question: someone of the irregulars will be in Verona or Florence? Why don’t we arrange a meeting to have a beer together before entering the venue?
