'Island Jam 2007'

Remember That Night DVD (2007)As if you didn’t already have enough to look forward to from the ‘Remember That Night’ DVD, here’s something else. (Don’t say that David isn’t good to you.)

In January, David recorded a new version of ‘Island Jam’, with Richard, Stevie and Guy.

I’m sure that you’ll love it. So sure, in fact, that it will be on disc two.

‘Remember That Night’ is released worldwide in September. Disc one contains 23 songs from the Royal Albert Hall, London. If you still don’t know which songs are on there, please click here.

By the way, for those who were confused: ‘Shine On You Crazy Diamond’ is plain old ‘Shine On You Crazy Diamond’ on this DVD. End of story.

A summary of what’s on disc two will follow tomorrow.

Today’s scheduled chat has been cancelled, sorry, but the chatroom will be open for business again next week. Please see the calendar for details of future sessions, and accept my apologies for any disappointment caused.

  1. Wot’s ….uh the deal???!! Two bits of good news in one day? I don’t think this aged ticker can stand much more of this.

Remembering back to the beginning when I first saw that video clip on the web. This got me absolutely juiced for Mr Gilmour’s newest CD; it was only a masterstroke of genius to include that original Island Jam on the Best Buy version of On An Island. Now this? I can only imagine how mercurial the new version will be, with a solid year of gigging behind the band to prime the three master musicians into bettering the first version.

Its looking like I’ll have to take a week off from work once this DVD set arrives… that and leave FEd my entire Who collection in my will!

    Muchas Gracias, Senior!
    Pepe’ Dirwood

  2. Absolutely outstanding!! A completely new version. I cant wait.

When i finally write my will i shall leave everything to David. Ill stick a couple of things in there for you too Feat Ed

[Two in a row? People will get suspicious. I don’t need any Who memorabilia… – Features Editor]

  3. AWESOME! I was getting excited at the fact that Island Jam might be on the DVD, but the fact that David decided to re-record it with the boys from the tour brings the excitment factor to a whole different level! Thanks David!

Looking forward to more juicy details FEd.

    Have a great weekend all
    ~Erin

  4. That makes my week, knowing that a new version of Island Jam is on that dvd. I play along on the organ to the existing version all the time.

You know it really is a great song.

    David spoils us rotten.

  5. Man, I’ve been gone for one week and there has been SO MUCH going on over here!! In support of Irregulars across the globe, I promise to vacation more often!!

It is a great song list for the first disc of Remember That Night. I think this DVD will be worth its selling price for “Echoes” alone. And I had a feeling that lesser-known songs like “Dark Globe” and “Wots… uh, the deal” would turn up on the second disc. Good to have that feeling confirmed here!!

The new version of Island Jam is a very nice surprise. I love that track and still cannot figure out why he didn’t put such a good piece on the album.

And, I am glad that Nick Mason’s performances won’t be included on the DVD. As I’ve said in these pages before, Mason is not my favorite musician. In his book, Mason comes right out and says that he does not practice (which doesn’t surprise me at all), and without practice it is not long before any musician loses his skill. So I can only assume his drumming is lacking a lot by now. Sorry, Mason fans out there, but that is my opinion. (Please, no pointy sticks here!)

David Gilmour and Rick Wright are my favorite members of Floyd, which is why it’s such a thrill that they’re working together these days. Both men contributed quite a lot to Pink Floyd’s sound and they both seem like people you’d like to hang around with.

  6. One question if I may.

We know the 1st DVD runs approx. 2.5 hrs. What is the 2nd? If it’s 4hrs, I’ll be in heaven 4 sure.

Kidding aside. You really have impressed us all this week Fed. Thank You and have a restful weekend okay?

[Cheers, mate. It’s about the same as the first, I guess, but will double-check. – Features Editor]

  7. Oh quite nice!

I was flipping through my ipod & re-discovered the “Island Jam” just yesterday. Very nice indeed!

  8. Name this tune…

David playing a Tele, E Chord, Richard singing as well… must be Arnold Layne!

  9. Thanks For the Reply FEd…I think I figured it out…Once you gave me the brand I was able to research it a bit…

    Name That Tune: Arnold Layne

I dont know If the Name that tune game has started yet…But if it has…there is my pick…

  10. Arnold Layne, not Astronomy. The setting fits not somehow from Abbey Road.

Darn, I wished we could have recorded there, but we tried none the less.

  11. Maybe disc two will be two-sided with 2 hours on each side…we can hope, even if it is doubtful (read unlikely).

    Thanks.

    Andrew

  12. Island Jam! Great surprise. I love the original version, but i’m excited for this new version.

i have one question: this new version on dvd is one video clip, live in studio or only audio?

    Thanks

    [It’s a video clip, don’t worry. You’ll love it. – Features Editor]

  13. We’re so spoiled aren’t we…;)?

Well, anyways, thanx 4 all the great goodies, and many more 2 come…CHEERS FEd and 2 everyone else! 🙂

    K.C.

[The same to you, Kim. Have a good weekend. – Features Editor]

  14. Mr. David Gilmour, you are very generous and nice to us; the new DVD is packed with all kinds of goodies. I am ecstatic and I am thankful.

I’ve been thinking and I know it is superficial to some …what would the cover of the DVD look like?

FEd, thank you very much for the last few weeks, you sure brought us a lot of surprises.

    Enjoy your weekend off!

  15. Oh that is just fantastic news Fed.

I will be another year older in September and this will definitely help to ease the pain:-)

The label should include that the Surgeon General recommends the use of this CD for whatever ailes you.

    Tomi Sue

  16. Wow, excellent. I loved the jam ever since I heard it first time.

    Have a nice weekend,
    Ralph

  17. OFF TOPIC:

I had a pair of George Best football boots way back in the 70’s, anybody else remember them?, the laces were on the side of the boot. I was disappointed that i never played like him.

I think I learned my lesson from that, hence my earlier post re the Gilmour Strat.

  18. Ciao,

Fed this is a final beautiful gift for everybody. Thanks.

I want to make you a question and I want a sincere answer (not the one I would like).

This DVD is covering ALL expectations of everybody: it includes documentaries, a fantastic entire performance, all the songs of the tour (or nearly), bonuses as “island jam” etc. etc.

The question is: is it casual that you pleased everyone making something this way (I mean was it all planned since the beginning to be like that) or you took into account the comments we all made to the pulse DVD and all the wishes we expressed? 🙂

I ask this because it seems you made the DVD on our specs..if you understand what I mean 🙂

[It does seem as though it was almost ‘made to order’, doesn’t it? I can’t say for sure, but David and Polly have followed the blog since the very beginning. They know what’s been popular among the fans and what’s been the best of the whole ‘On An Island’ experience. You know David, the man wouldn’t put out a sub-standard DVD. He has too much respect for the music, and for the people who appreciate it, to sell it short. I don’t think the ‘P.U.L.S.E’ DVD even entered the equation. This is now, this is where David is at and what he is interested in. The last two years have been so good, this DVD simply had to reflect just how good it’s been. We think it does just that and hope you feel the same way. And when it comes to technology, David knows his stuff. The man has his finger on the pulse, what more can I say? (Honestly, that pun was unintentional.) – Features Editor]

  19. Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better… I love Island Jam and a new version is even more exciting.

    Thank you.

  20. This is really good to hear about island jam.

however about 2 minutes after reading about it i read this:

Last year, Mike made a commitment to change his lifestyle to lose weight and improve his health. He worked very hard with diet and exercise and had already lost 71 pounds, with only 24 more to go. He was looking good and feeling great. His wife said that he came home from his bike ride yesterday feeling extremely exhausted so they retired early. He seemed fine this morning and went to the gym, as usual, and passed away while working out. Life can sure be ironic. :-/

Mike will be cremated and his ashes scattered at Grantchester Meadows, per his wishes. So poignant and befitting for a fan as dedicated as he. To quote his wife, “He was a Floyd fan to the end.” No words could be more true than that.

It is with a tear in my eye that I tell you Michael Alexander AKA Floydian Leaf has passed away.

    Rest in peace my friend.

  21. What a week of info!! Strat, DVD, Extra’s, whatever next…..

Oh yes the Strat!!- anybody want to buy a house with wife?

  22. Hey Fed

I am so pleased that find the cost for freedom is there on the dvd. At the bridgewater hall my hairs stood upright with the harmony.

Anyway a new season draws near, my season ticket renewed with hope for more silverwear. I agree with your comment about the price tag with king kenny if he was playing today.

I think that the money commanded in football is silly, however, not for carragher and gerrard.

We’ll win it six times, we’ll win it six times, in the soviet union, we’ll win it six times.

See ya soon hope you are feeling better.
    5 Times

[That song always makes me feel better, mate. We won it five times… Just thinking of Istanbul puts a smile on my face. Let’s hope that Torres can do the business in front of goal. – Features Editor]

  23. i am reading through the extras and the dvd track list and i think there is a nice little package there waiting to be enjoyed . i love the island jam . i can’t wait to get my grubby little paws on this dvd .

sad to see the chat is postponed until tuesday but then again i would’nt have been able to come in anyway . there is a thirsty home brew buyer waiting for me to deliver him a home brew kit to the centre of dublin, as i go in by bus i will be in town all afternoon ! my suburb is not very well served by road based public transport 🙂

have a good weekend fet ed and everyone else here !

    peace
    Linda island lady .

  24. Hello,

back to Italy and with “our community”..I’m happy again.

Wonderful news FEd, I got Island jam (just a part)on my Ipod and it’s a very amazing experience…waiting next september. Really I’m waiting for the remastering of “The piper..”too!

Last June I was at WHO performance (wet and unforgettable) and we have to underline the “Arena di Verona” like a good place for the next concert of David and band.

This night is a great night in Rome with “A bigger band” and Rolling Stones ..I’ll be there!

    Nice week end mates!
    diana

[We’ve got lots of Who fans here. I knew that you’d all have good taste. (Lucia, do you like The Who? Here’s your chance to make up for not liking Bob Dylan…) – Features Editor]

  25. Superexcellent!

[You wanted to say “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” really, didn’t you? Admit it. – Features Editor]

  26. Great new ‘Island’ section…

I liked much the pics. That island seems to be a quiet and fresh place. I need to go there.

    ciao!
    emi

  27. Hi Fed.

Island Jam 2007 included …. i´m without words really ….

So that was the session – when david signed the guitar!!!!

    bye
    werner

  28. A new OAI-jam? Interesting!! 😀

Have a nice weekend everyone and enjoy LiveEarth (I will)

  29. My DVD wish come true, as we (all Bloggers) were allowed to express one for DVD content back in March 2007.

However I’m still surprised that David decided to record that piece once again, as previous one was very good (imho). I hope that one with Richard and Steve it will be even better. I think it is the thing which I will wait for till September.

As it was not clearly stated, I assume that older version will not be included.

Mr. David Gilmour, you are far too kind already, I am thrilled to think what will be revealed in following days, weeks or even months.

Have I said before that I love when David plays blues, if not I really love to listen to Put A Smell On You (from In Concert DVD), Island Jam and Junkmen are also very beautiful.

    Tomasz

[The original ‘Island Jam’ is not included. – Features Editor]

  30. Hi FEd,

I got a little question itching me a long time … are there no such plans to bring out the same music as on the DVD on a double CD/SACD?

…why am I asking….don’t forget there are still people (like me) who simply love to listen to music and not necessarily want to switch on telly or even own a DVD player … but still are big fans of Mr. Gilmour and certainly will not be able to enjoy this piece of live music as a result )o:

…just a thought (some 2 years ago Noir Desire – a popular band in France) published their concert tour as double CD and DVD…,

    cheers, Robert

[There are no plans to copy and release the DVD in CD format, sorry. – Features Editor]

  31. [In his book, Mason comes right out and says that he does not practice (which doesn’t surprise me at all), and without practice it is not long before any musician loses his skill. What a load of old bollocks!

Unfortunately, as there isn’t any footage of Nick playing drums on the DVD, we’ll never know whether your crazy and, IMO, disrespectful ‘assumption’ has any credibility at all.

[Well, for the record, it was Nick’s decision that his performance not be included on the DVD (other than what you see in the documentary footage). Read into that what you will. But hopefully it can bring an end to this petty nonsense about David being the bad guy and leaving him out. We appreciate that some people see Richard as being very much on David’s side, and Nick on Roger’s, in this wildly over-blown Floyd ‘war’. It seems that, in the small minds of some fans, Nick’s Albert Hall performance being omitted from the DVD is further proof of such a divide. That’s a load of old bollocks. – Features Editor]

  32. Fed… For some obscure reason I thought of this last night so you may want to stick it in your future events bucket under your desk behind those old trainers you can’t bear to throw away…

If a film were made of DG’s band who would play the principle roles…DG, GP, PM, RW, JC, SD and of course, Craggy Island’s own Dick Parry.

  33. [You wanted to say “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” really, didn’t you? Admit it. – Features Editor]

Now that we have the correct spelling for it…absolutely!

I thought that putting the existing Island Jam on the DVD would be great, but now this development…see above exclamation!!!

    Thank you, David.

  34. Amazing . . . .the news gets better and better

By the by, Fed – thanks for the link to the live Abbey Road sessions 🙂

I do have another question however – do you ever get any sleep???? I am new here, but already sense the tremendous work you do to keep this entire blog ‘flowing’ – you will need an Island soon if you don’t get some rest 😉

    Arlene

[I love the excitement as much as the rest of you, so it’s a pleasure to be able to give you the news and be the first to see your reaction to it. But if David wants to arrange an island for me… – Features Editor]

  35. [Well, for the record, it was Nick’s decision that his performance not be included on the DVD (other than what you see in the documentary footage). Read into that what you will. Thanks for clearing that up. I stand by everything I’ve said on this because I would have loved to have seen Nick on the DVD. On saying that, there is more than enough on these two DVDs to make up for this relatively small omission.

Hopefully, I don’t count as one of those with ‘small minds’, as I don’t ever remember attributing Nick’s performance not being on the DVD to having anything to do with a ‘war’ or a ‘divide’. In fact, until you mentioned it, this never even occurred to me.

Incidentally, I recently asked whether the edit of the RAH footage of Take a Breath was going to be the same as that on the OAI CD/DVD release. Did you ever get an answer to this one? Many thanks.

[It’s a completely different edit. ‘This Heaven’ from the AOL Sessions is also a re-edit. By the way, my remark (included above) was a general one, in response to comments posted not only here, but elsewhere, since we announced that Nick’s performance would not feature on the DVD. It just so happened to get tagged on at the end of your post, as it seemed the right place for it. Nothing personal. – Features Editor]

  36. FED thanks your answers, You are very kind as well, You especially intrigued me with This Heaven update.

Do you agree that This Heaven and Island Jam are just like brother-pieces (they complete each other),

    Tomasz

[I agree completely. Great music. – Features Editor]

  37. A new born ‘Island Jam’?!

I’m loving this bonus dvd. I don’t see how it could get much better, with the exception of some new music being added.

Maybe if we all clap our hands and believe…

I’m not greedy, I swear, it only seems that way.

Honestly, I am thrilled about everything on the dvd, so far.

    Thank you!

    Melissa(*_*)

  38. this is excellent news! david sure does spoil us.

i love island jam. i had a friend get me a copy of the best buy cd sent over from the states just for this number. can’t wait to hear the new version.

time for work, but i will be back later to comment on what piergiorgio said. it does seem like this dvd was put together to please the fans. 🙂

re the poll: 3% are unhappy with what’s on the dvd. 4% don’t even know. can you believe that?!

  39. [And, I am glad that Nick Mason’s performances won’t be included on the DVD. As I’ve said in these pages before, Mason is not my favorite musician. I assumed we were above this sort of thing now..sigh.

    Cheers, Howard

Where did I hear that song ?: ” We love you, David – we do. We love you, David – we do. We love you David – we do. Oh, David, we love you!”

And you, Fed, have a great (extended, I hope) week end and a quieter life, you deserve that so much!

    Merci pour tout.

    Michèle

[Nice song, Michèle. We’ll have to have a day of David-related football chants… – Features Editor]

  41. [If a film were made of DG’s band who would play the principle roles…DG, GP, PM, RW, JC, SD and of course, Craggy Island’s own Dick Parry]

    Rudders,

Where the heck is Craggy Island? LOL

    Cheers, Howard

  42. I don’t like these kind of points about the ‘Floyd war’ or Nick Mason’s drumming.

It’s not a question of pratice. It’s feeling.Nick Mason is one of the best rock drummers ever, and not only in my opinion. He invented himself and created a style.

    It’s obvious,if you’re a Dave Weckl or Colaiuta fan,you’ll find Mason’s drumming a little ‘ingenuous’.But I want to say what I feel.

Pink Floyd would never work without him (or work in another – more classical- way).

    That’s all.

  43. CAPTION:

“with a little coaxing and a whisper in her ear Posh Spice finally succumbs to David’s request and tries to eat something by trying a foot long chilli dog.”

  44. Friends! You knew it had to happen. Dark Side of the Moon played entirely on a ukulele. 🙂

    [Whatever next? – Features Editor]

  45. [It is with a tear in my eye that I tell you Michael Alexander AKA Floydian Leaf has passed away.
    Rest in peace my friend]

Ripper… I am so very sorry for your loss, the loss of his family, and our loss here at the blog. My heart goes out to you & the family; and hope that his memory will be of comfort to you.

That is very sad news, and I am sorry for you.

He will always live on in the hearts of those who loved him so.

    ~Susan

  46. [It’s a completely different edit. ‘This Heaven’ from the AOL Sessions is also a re-edit. Many thanks for those clarifications. It’ll be interesting to see whether the Take a Breath editing is as ‘frantic’ as that on the OAI CD/DVD.

It is great to see that the thoughts, ideas and opinions of the fans certainly seem to be given due consideration….it is much appreciated, even if sometimes our thoughts might come over as being over-critical.

Do you happen to know if there is going to be anything on the DVD relating to the David Gilmour website, specifically the infamous Blog?

[No problem. ‘Over-critical’ should have been my middle name, so I fully understand the passion behind many of the comments. It’s very easy to misinterpret words at a place such as this – and that works both ways, with my words often being open to question, too. I don’t think there’s anything on there about the website, other than Guy’s visit to Luka’s… I could be mistaken. My brain is starting to spasm now. – Features Editor]

  47. [Mike will be cremated and his ashes scattered at Grantchester Meadows]

Thats actually very beautiful…hope they play “Great Gig in the Sky” whilst doing this.

I did almost the very same thing for a dear friend of mine who had passed on in 2005.

    R.I.P MIKE

  48. I did not think it possible to be more surprised or impressed with this wonderful DVD.

I cannot wait for September to come. It will be a marvellous DVD and I am already making plans to watch it with dear friends and good wine.

I, too, thought very highly of the original Island Jam.

I really do not know what would please those who voted No or Don’t Know in the poll.

Piergiorgio asks a vaid question: Could it be that David has been monitoring our preferences, hopes and, dare I say, suggestions?

On the topic of Nick Mason, then I respect his wish to not be included on the concert. I respect David for respecting Nick’s decision.

I do wish that we could leave it at that, without being so negative.

  49. [I love the excitement as much as the rest of you, so it’s a real pleasure to be able to give you the news and be the first to see your reaction to it. But if David wants to arrange an island for me… – Features Editor]

I think FEd walks around singing that old Simon & Garfunkel song – “I am a rock, I am an island….”

    Thanks.

    Andrew

[No, lately it’s been that Queen song about feeling like a banana tree. – Features Editor]

  50. I’m so excited about the dvd, I don’t know which side I’ll watch first!!!

Thank you, David & Polly, for producing what looks to be a most PERFECT dvd!!

Thank you, FEd for keeping us updated on the progress! It’s been very fun & exciting…

The Blotto was especially exciting!! Well, not the ‘exclaiming’ of Blotto!!, but rather finding out which songs were to be included. You made it very fun, in spite of the frustration of our ‘Blotto’ cards!

Sorry there’s no chat today, but we do realize that FEd has a life, too… and besides, maybe I’ll get some housework done now today instead!!

    Have a good weekend, everyone!!

    ~Susan

  51. This is great news on what promises to be an unbelievable release from David.

Can’t wait to see the RAH show again and all the extra stuff too that we didn’t get to see. David’s packing everything in but the kitchen sink and there’s still people that want more – c’mon, lets be thankful for with we are about to receive (eh I mean buy).

Dark Globe too – remembering Syd on this weekend.

Best wishes to all from a spoilt Dub.

    Regards,
    Tom B

  52. Howard… Craggy Island

In one of the many captions we’ve had over the past 200 years one of the pictures was of Dick Parry looking very much like Father Jack who is a character in the UK TV Series Father Ted which is based in a fictional location called… Craggy Island.

  53. RE:Craggy Island

It figures that it would be in one of the few British programs I haven’t seen.

    Cheers, Howard

  54. ‘Remember That Night’

I’m sitting here pondering, just how thoughtful it is for David to provide this DVD set, such a special way to go back and revisit that night. I don’t think I would be missing the mark by much, to say that David and his crew obviously had us in mind when they put together the set list. I guess it could be coincidence that we happen to love everything on it.

August is quickly approaching and I am reminded that August 26th will be one the one year anniversary of the day I saw David live in Gdansk, Poland.

It’s strange how something that brought me so much joy, can also cause me to feel sad. I love remembering that night, but I can’t help but feel some feeling of loss along with the joy.

Memories are something that no one can take from us. No one can even share them with us. They are echoes of our past which can only be revisited, by us alone. Sure, I can tell my friends about the experience I had, but they can never appreciate it the way I did. No one can experience the sights and the smells, and the flood of emotions that I felt at that particular moment in time. The way the breeze seemed to blow at exactly the right moment, I felt that, and it can never again be repeated.

When I returned home, I remember thinking to myself, ‘two days ago, at this very time, I was witnessing the best concert of my life’. Then it was, one week ago… The weeks turned into months, and now it’s almost a year. Each passing day takes me farther away from that irreplaceable moment in my life.

Truth be told, while attending that show, I enjoyed the best moments I have had in last three years of my life.

    Thank you.
    Melissa(*_*)

  55. Hello Fed,your news is always great. Can’t wait to know something more about David’s signature edition Fender strat! It’s a dream that I will have the chance to play with that guitar.

On the 17th September I will be in Spain for the Erasmus programme of the universities,I will buy “Remember that night” and I will watch it in my room!It will be a great night, just me and my passion.

However, have a nice weekend and say hello to David from me.I will spend my weekend learning to play Mihalis and There’s no way out of here, even if the time won’t be enough.

Bye and congratulations for your work,I’m sure David is proud of his site, thanks to your hard work.

    Piero

  56. Been a while Fed but its great to see the activity level continues here.

I’m looking very much to the DVD but what comes next? (just kidding and waiting)

[We have something lined up next, but you’ll have to wait until Monday for that. – Features Editor]

  57. Holy Cow Fed! Just when I think certainly you’ve about come to the end of amazing material on this DVD, you tell me a newly recorded version of Island Jam will be included!

I felt from the start that Island Jam was a superior song that should have made it to the OAI album… like someone else said- when I first heard it while waiting for OAI to be released it instantly grabbed my attention and got me excited about OAI.

It is one of my favorite songs from the OAI sessions. I can’t wait to hear/see the new version!

Thanks Fed, and especially thanks to David for re-doing it and including it!

  58. I’m certainly not in the running for 1st blogger, but I was fairly early… Blog doesn’t go further than December 31st 2005, and I didn’t post til the 6th of Jan 2006.

    Seems so long ago!

  59. Let me clarify, F’Ed and irregulars:

I do not dislike Nick Mason. His book is insightful, very well-written, and downright hilarious in places. It’s just that I don’t care for his drumming. It has nothing to do with Roger.

Reading back the comments I posted above, I can see where people would read them as a way of bad-mouthing Nick Mason. Which would be rude. It’s not how I meant it at all.

Nick says in several places in his book that he does not like the feel or sound of his own drumming. My unscientific, uninformed guess is that this played into his choice not to have his work be included in the DVD.

I would never come here and accuse David of making these choices based on musicians’ friendship with Roger. On the contrary, I cannot imagine him ever doing so. If I had that opinion of David Gilmour, then I simply would not frequent this blog.

I hope that clears this up. The misunderstanding is my fault, because I am sometimes not aware that our words can mean something other than what we want them to mean.

  60. Now if David Gilmour was Gene Simmons, he would market “Island Jam” as a fruit preserve that you can buy at your local market. Imagine, David Gilmour Island Jam in all the popular fruity flavors with a free guitar pick in every jar….sticky.

You can start with the basics such as blueberry, strawberry, raspberry, and then maybe even experiment with a few unique flavors such as pamplemousse jelly or maybe hemp. He could become the Paul Newman of the music world. Heck Ted Nugent has his own brand of beef jerky, David certainly can have his own brand of jam.

Hmmmm….why do I feel like there won’t be any support for this marketing idea????

Looking forward to seeing the new jam.

    Thanks.

    Andrew

  62. So, here I am trying to get my blog-fill while I’m in the only place I get service up here and I see all this great news!!! Man, what great gifts!

Love to all from the green fields and trees of Ulster Heights Lake in NY State…

…and a bow of the head for Michael Alexander… Rest in Peace Floydian Leaf…

  63. its not plain old shine on, fed …its classic shine on.

the picture above looks like layne.

i have nothing bad to say about nick, nicks drumming, or his lack of drumming… it takes time to write a book, family, friends and everything else he has going on. i respect his honesty and his decision. i’m sure drumming isn’t the only thing on his plate.

which makes me respect david even more, to say david is good to us is a complete understatement. i can’t think of a word to use, but its well beyond “good”.

with all these happenings lately i’m starting to get worried, is it all to good to be true? remember that night looks like a double dream disc set.
